Finding The Right Ingredients – Food Marketing

If you are a food producer interested in growing your businesses at home and abroad, then don’t miss next month’s food marketing programme, “Finding The Right Ingredients.” Local Enterprise Office Donegal has joined forces with George Latella of St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, to present a unique learning opportunity to help Donegal food businesses develop their food marketing strategy. The programme will run over six weeks, lasting three hours each of the six days, and participants must attend every session. This course will help identify the skills required to market your food business to a national and international audience.

The programme is designed to help you understand the dynamics of a changing and competitive marketplace and will equip attendees with the skills they need to engage their audience and effectively market their food business.

This course will be delivered by Mr. George Latella and Dr. Richard J. George of St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, USA.

George has taught Food Marketing at Saint Joseph’s University for 30 years. He has received three Teaching Excellence awards and was voted the best Professor in the Haub School of Business in 2016 by students. He will share his knowledge and experience of what works for food businesses, demonstrated through case studies.

Richard is Professor Emeritus of Food Marketing for Haub School of Business, St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia. He holds an MBA from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. from Temple University. He is author or co-author of 12 books including “Winning Customer Rules” and “Winning Marketing Strategy: The Rules,” and has been recognized with several awards for teaching and research excellence, including the prestigious Lindback and Tengelmann Awards.

Commenting on the programme Michael Tunney, Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Donegal said: “This comprehensive programme will address key topics around marketing a food business, looking at best practices in consumer-packaged goods, and addressing logistical challenges facing manufacturers and food producers, with a particular focus on the impact of Covid 19.”
