The aim of the management development programme is to drive economic activity in the food sector in Donegal and ensure that businesses have the capability and capacity to operate competitively and encourage growth in the industry.
This programme has been specifically developed for SMEs in the food production sector who have ambition to grow and develop their management skills. It will be delivered both online and in the Local Enterprise Office, subject to Covid 19 government regulations.
This is an ideal opportunity for Donegal food businesses to develop and maximise their core business skills to help them build sustainable capability and capacity within their own business. As well as driving ambition and innovation, a key element of the programme will be to educate companies on the fundamentals of general business management including time management and negotiation skills. Other key elements include supporting the development and execution of a marketing and sales strategy, and practical tips and assistance with business branding, product labelling and packaging.
If you want to enhance the internal financial management capabilities of your business and learn more about the importance of effective cash flow management, cost reduction, and waste management, then this course is for you. The programme also aims to enhance the people management skills of the owner manger and will provide each participant with a toolkit to aid recruitment, performance appraisal, supervision, delegation and employment legislation.
