Cill Ulta

Cill Ulta, An Fál Carrach, Co. Dhún na nGall, F92 WF60

Food Producer

Located on a site which once supplied tomatoes to the early markets in Dublin, we now use this historic resource to grow local, sustainable vegetables, herbs, and honey to supply to local shops, restaurants, and households. Cill Ulta is also: supporting ITSligo as the County Donegal Mentor for the SEAI, delivering an EIP-AGRI project (EU and DAFM) focused on revitalizing cultivation in the parish, delivering a Community Biodiversity Plan for the townland of Cill Ulta as funded by the Science Foundation of Ireland, and collaborating with the Donegal ETB to deliver training courses in horticulture, ecology, food sovereignty, and sustainability.

Cill Ulta grows seasonal, local, sustainable vegetables, herbs, and honey on site at Cill Ulta in NW Donegal.

All vegetables sold by Cill Ulta are produced in Cloich Cheann Fhaola – either on site at Cill Ulta or in fields we have contracted in the parish. Honey is produced either on site or at the apiary of our head horticulturist.

All fruit, veg, and herbs for consumption – grown on site at Cill Ulta or in Cloich Cheann Fhaola fields contracted by Cill Ulta, example list of the most common produce attached. However, we would sometimes grow other veg depending upon customer demand. As this, too, is grown in Cloich Cheann Fhaola, we would like to have all of our fresh produce covered by the Donegal Food Coast brand.
